Wendy Love Hinds

I live and work in the heart of Kent with the beautiful surrounding countryside as my inspiration.

Though I enjoy using many different mediums for my drawings and paintings, for my sculpture I work mainly in clay.

My work naturally expresses character and humour that makes it feel like each piece has just leapt from the pages of a story book.

For each of my sculptures I study from photos, film footage and if I'm really lucky, straight from nature itself, making a series of sketches to work from. With my sculptures I try to express movement and the relationship the animals have with both each other and their environment. In my paintings and drawings I am captivated by the quality of light and the atmosphere it creates. I have recently started on a series of hare illustrations.
